Medical Devices Are Different

Surgical instruments, implant components — when these parts fail, rework is not an option. 316LVM stainless steel, Ti6Al4V ELI titanium, and PEEK are biocompatible materials with very different machining parameters from standard materials. Push conventional parameters and you either burn through tools or miss surface specs.
