Bisite Achieves IATF 16949 Automotive Quality Certification

Why We Spent Eight Months on This

IATF 16949 is not simply buying a certificate. From document system setup to process audit, product audit, and Customer Specific Requirements (CSR) identification — every step must be genuine. Bisite chose to do this because our automotive customer base is growing — they demand not just "can you make it" but "can you make it right consistently."

Key Improvements During the Audit

The audit was not a formality — it genuinely helped us find blind spots we had missed:

  • PFMEA update mechanism: We had PFMEA but lacked a closed loop of "customer complaint → improvement → FMEA update" — now fixed
  • Measurement System Analysis (MSA): CMM and go/no-go gauge GR&R data were not systematically tracked — now updated quarterly
  • Traceability: From raw material batch to finished product shipping — now full-chain barcode traceable, any batch processing record locatable within 5 minutes

What This Means for Customers

With IATF 16949 certification, Bisite can officially enter OEM and Tier 1 supplier lists. For automotive customers, this means:

  • PPAP documentation system is in place — no repeated material submissions needed
  • SPC process control is routine — CPK data available on request
  • Change management process is standardized — no engineering change notifications missed

In precision machining, relying solely on "veteran craftsman feel" does not scale. Systems are not a burden — they are the assurance that quality does not depend on any individual experience.
