Why 100% Inspection Is Not "Over-Testing"
There is an unwritten rule in precision parts: if the customer does not require it, sampling is sufficient. But Bisite started implementing 100% inspection last year, and many peers think we are "too meticulous."
The reason is simple: we learned a lesson. A batch of automotive parts — first and last articles passed, but one in the middle was out of spec because the tool wear inflection point came earlier than expected. Since then, we would rather inspect slowly than release any untested product.
New Inspection Center Configuration
- Hexagon Global S: Max travel 1500x1000x800mm, MPEE <= 1.5+L/350μm
- Hexagon Optiv Performance: Composite vision measurement, dedicated to micro features and thin-wall parts
- Environmental control: Independent climate-controlled room, 20±0.5°C, humidity 45±5%
Inspection Capability Upgrade
With two additional CMMs, our inspection scheduling shifted from "waiting for machines" to "test on arrival." Production rhythm is no longer bottlenecked by inspection, and every part complete inspection data is stored in the MES system — available to customers on demand.
